i made two mistakes as i made my dinner tonight: i sauteed the broccoli rabe with too much black pepper; and i didn't bring the chicken stock up to a simmer before tossing it in with the rabe. BUT as i ate dinner, i made two serendipitous musical finds on this computer: Irving and Islands. so i think, in the end, my swerve is balanced.  ¶ 9:38 PM
