My roommate says horses are trendy. (My roommate also says bears and wolves are trendy.) In any case, I swear I had no idea when I picked my tag, Diomed. I didn't even know Diomed was a horse. A famous one, no less: winner of the very first Epsom Derby in 1780. Only slightly less illustrious is the fact that Diomed is also "the industry leader in vein care." (Diomed Inc.) I just thought it was a cool name, taken from the 1897 classic Diomed: The Life, Travels, and Observations of a Dog. Well, apparently it's also a family of albatrosses, as well as a character in Troilus and Cressida. In any case, I'm just glad it doesn't sound like a wizard or some shit from Lord of the Rings.
